REPORTS TO: General Manager
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, advertising, sales, or related field. Related experience will be evaluated and
could be substituted
EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years of media sales experience; preferably in a managerial role
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for establishing departmental revenue and expense budgets and working within those parameters

Responsible for maximizing all sales revenue (local, national, electronic media, non-traditional)

Responsible for daily review and control of inventory
-
Responsible for evaluating and adjusting rates weekly or as needed
-
Review and approve all traffic orders to ensure accuracy and rate integrity
-
Weekly sales meeting
-
Weekly performance review of each AE (1 on 1’s)
-
Responsible for corporate weekly reports
-
Attaining monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets
-
Creating sales promotions, campaigns and events
-
Direct and assist LSM and DSM in the training, supervising existing staff, and in recruitment of salespeople
-
Supervision of sales support staff
-
Knowledge of traffic system and comScore ratings
-
Work directly with local and regional accounts and station’s national rep firm
-
Work closely with Marketing Coordinator/Creative Services to execute sales promotions and commercial production

Perform other duties as assigned
