WWAY-TV, a subsidiary of Morris Network, is seeking is seeking a detail-oriented, organized,
and dependable Sales Assistant to support our Local Account Executives and help ensure
the day-to-day sales operation runs efficiently.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide administrative and sales support to
Local Account Executives, including order entry, make goods, account maintenance,
reporting, and general sales coordination. The Sales Assistant will also provide secondary
support to Regional Account Executives and serve as back-up support for the current
Sales Assistant to ensure continuity of critical daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong
attention to detail, communicates effectively, and enjoys working as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
Local Account Executive Support
• Assist Local Account Executives with day-to-day administrative and sales-related
needs.
• Enter, revise, and maintain advertising orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process and coordinate make goods and other schedule adjustments.
• Assist with resolving order discrepancies, missing information, scheduling issues,
and other client/account needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customer orders.
• Communicate with Account Executives, traffic, programming, and other
departments as needed to ensure orders are executed correctly.
• Assist Account Executives with reports, account information, and sales-related
projects.
• Help monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding items to keep accounts
moving efficiently.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in
business, communications, media, or a related field is a plus.
• Previous administrative, customer service, sales support, or broadcast/media
experience preferred.
• Previous experience using Wide Orbit Traffic and Wide Orbit Media Sales preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, email, and other business
software.
• Ability to learn broadcast sales systems and processes quickly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial and customer information
appropriately.
• Dependable team player who can provide reliable back-up coverage and step in
when needed.
